Three Simple Steps to Your Visit
No complicated apps. No tech headaches. Just a link, a click, and your provider is there.
1
Book Your Appointment
Call us at (941) 413-5100 or request a telehealth visit online. We'll match you with an available provider — often the same day you contact us.
2
Get Your Secure Link
A few minutes before your appointment, we'll send a secure video link to your phone or email. No app to download — just click the link to join.
3
Meet With Your Provider
Your provider will review your symptoms, answer questions, and — if needed — send prescriptions or lab orders electronically, right from your visit.

- Frequently Asked
Telehealth at TeamMed — FAQs
Is telehealth covered by my insurance?
Yes — most major insurance plans, including Medicare and many commercial plans, now cover telehealth visits at the same rate as in-person visits. We'll verify your coverage before your appointment. If you're unsure, just call us and we'll check for you.
Do I need to download an app?
No app is required. We'll send you a secure video link by text or email. Simply click the link on your phone, tablet, or computer — any modern browser works. We'll also send test instructions so you can make sure your camera and microphone work before your appointment.
Can I get a prescription through telehealth?
Yes. If your provider determines that a prescription is appropriate, they can send it electronically to your preferred pharmacy during or immediately after your visit. This includes antibiotics, antivirals, and many other medications (with certain exceptions for controlled substances).
What if I'm a new patient?
New patients are welcome for telehealth visits. We may ask you to complete our new patient registration before your visit so your provider has your health history. For some new patient situations, we may recommend an in-person visit first — we'll let you know when you book.
How same-day is "same-day"?
We do our best to accommodate same-day requests, especially for urgent concerns. If you call before noon, we typically have same-day slots available. For non-urgent matters, we can usually see you within 24 hours.
What do I need for a telehealth visit?
A device with a camera and microphone (smartphone, tablet, or laptop), a stable internet connection, and a quiet private space where you can talk freely. That's it. We'll handle the rest.
